Arkansas Act 707 of 2025: nuclear generation feasibility study

Legal and geographic scope

The Department of Energy and Environment must engage a consultant to study new nuclear generation in Arkansas, including small modular nuclear reactors and microreactors. The hiring duty starts 60 days after the effective date on which the act is funded. A report is due to the Governor and named legislative officers no later than 15 months after the act's effective date. The act authorizes no plant and states no appropriation.
