Legal and geographic scope

Presidential resolution implementing Decree UP-79 of 24 May 2024. It approves the main activities and structure of the Atomic Energy Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers (including a state enterprise directorate for construction of the nuclear power plant), lets the Agency and its organisations make direct contracts, create companies and take part in financing projects in nuclear energy, and turns the earlier nuclear energy development fund into a Fund for Development of the Atomic Energy Use Sphere under the Agency. The fund draws on 4% of dividends of the state enterprise Navoiyuran (as amended in December 2024), grants and concessional loans of international financial institutions and other sources, and may be spent on Agency tasks connected with investment projects to build atomic energy facilities, including external infrastructure, on research and on the Agency's own operation.
