Brazil federal technical group on land-based small and micro modular reactors (CDPNB Resolution 43, January 2026)
On 7 January 2026 Brazil's Nuclear Programme Development Committee (CDPNB) created, by its Resolution 43, a technical group coordinated by the Ministry of Mines and Energy to assess the national infrastructure and challenges for deploying land-based small and micro modular reactors. It has 180 days, extendable by 90, to deliver a report, it is a study, not a decision to build.
