Danish government analysis of serially produced SMRs and the 1985 nuclear ban
In January 2026 Denmark's climate ministry set the terms for a three-track analysis of the possible role of serially produced SMRs in the Danish energy system, regulatory and authority requirements, and business potential, following a 2025 parliamentary decision. The 1985 ban on nuclear power remains in force, there is no project or site.
