Ukraine's draft SMR implementation roadmap and draft law on small modular reactors (2025)
In October 2025 Ukraine's Ministry of Energy convened a working group on a draft action plan (roadmap) for introducing SMRs, and a draft law on SMR implementation was presented to parliament's energy committee. The bill would let private owners choose technology and operators and drop the requirement to submit three alternative sites. No site or design is named, and adoption was not confirmed in the sources read.
