RoPower Nuclear S.A.

Romanian project company for the proposed six-module NuScale plant at Doicești. CNCAN's August 2025 national report says it was incorporated in September 2022 and appointed project owner responsible for implementing the SMR technology in Romania. CNCAN told DC Business in June 2026 that RoPower had filed the request to start project and site authorisation, which was still under evaluation, and that no approval or permit had been issued. Nuclearelectrica's October 2026 note makes it responsible for the module-procurement and site natural-gas conditions of the February 2026 investment decision. The reviewed sources do not name it as the plant's licensed operator.

1 linked project records: 1 licensing. These include proposals and historical cancelled or suspended plans; the count is not reactors built. Stages are the last recorded classifications, not proof of current activity. A recorded operator/host field does not by itself establish who will operate a reactor. A project without a recorded regulatory action is not necessarily without permission.
