SMART-C
KAERI describes SMART-C as a compact derivative of SMART100 proposed for Canadian export, with modifications intended to improve portability. Its 2024 technical presentation specifies an integral pressurized-water design of 365 MWth and 110 MWe, without gross/net qualification, with revised vessel, steam-generator and safety-system arrangements. These are design values, not achieved generation. The presentation describes further detailed design and feasibility studies as planned. No SMART-C design approval, committed deployment site or construction permission is established by the sources reviewed; SMART100's approval does not transfer to this variant.

Evidence and open questions
- Module rating. The exact SMART-C column states 365 MWt and 110 MWe. Gross/net is not stated; these values are not borrowed from SMART100. Reviewed 2026-10-15. Next evidence: A later KAERI or regulator specification changes SMART-C's ratings or explicitly states electrical-output basis. Review due 2027-01-13. KAERI: Overview of Modified Design Features of SMART-C (2024 presentation)
- Neutron spectrum: Not disclosed in the reviewed evidence. The opened SMART-C comparison and development description do not explicitly state neutron spectrum; it remains unknown rather than assigned from a related design. Reviewed 2026-10-15. Next evidence: A KAERI or regulator technical description explicitly identifies SMART-C's neutron spectrum. Review due 2027-01-13.
