Ohio's current power-siting definition treats an electric generating plant of fifty megawatts or more as a major utility facility. The official page dates this section text 14 August 2025. The certificate duty in section 4906.04 has a different effective date and is a separate record.

Official compilation of the power-siting definitions. A major utility facility includes an electric generating plant and associated facilities designed for, or capable of, operation at fifty megawatts or more. The page prints an effective date of 14 August 2025 and names House Bill 15 of the 136th General Assembly as the latest legislation. The opened section does not use the word nuclear.

Not approved or still pending

The definition is general generation siting law. It does not name a nuclear technology or certificate any project. House Bill 15 itself was not opened. The Ohio nuclear chapter already published separately is Chapter 4164.
