KHNP SMR at the Gijang-gun candidate site (11th Basic Plan)
On 17 June 2026 KHNP's site selection committee chose Gijang-gun in Busan as the candidate site for the one SMR in Korea's 11th Basic Plan (Gyeongju also applied). Reporting gives 700 MW of SMR capacity by 2038. The design is not stated in KHNP's release.
