ALFRED lead-cooled fast-reactor demonstrator
ENEA's August 2021 paper explicitly describes ALFRED as a prototype for a commercial small modular reactor. The historical FALCON consortium comprises ENEA, Ansaldo Nucleare and RATEN-ICN; the linked RATEN profile represents one member, not a sole vendor. The design uses lead coolant and a fast neutron spectrum. Ratings are not assigned from that qualifying paper. The Mioveni demonstrator and its later roadmap are recorded separately; ALFRED is not the commercial EAGLES-300 design.
Catalogue identity snapshot: 2021-08-20 (dated design qualification; later project roadmap is separate). Later technical descriptions, where recorded, are dated separately below. Source review does not establish current availability or a deployment.
