ALFRED lead-cooled demonstrator at Mioveni (EAGLES-300 programme)
Demonstration reactor (about 300 MWt) for the EAGLES-300 lead-cooled SMR. The EAGLES roadmap and NEA's 2026 dashboard place ALFRED at RATEN's Mioveni site, targeted for 2036; RATEN reports pre-licensing with regulators began in 2025, with a siting permit targeted for 2031. Not a commercial deployment; electrical output is not stored.
