DF-CDE critical demonstration experiment
Experimental functional prototype of the DF300 SMR, described by Rwanda’s Atomic Energy Board as a minimal critical configuration with separate fuel and coolant loops and an experiment lasting at most two years. It is separately identified in the NEA design inventory. No output, coolant material or neutron spectrum is inherited from commercial DF300. Dual Fluid’s February 2026 paper says the CDE is not intended to supply the grid; that does not establish zero internal electrical output.
