ELENA-AM
Kurchatov Institute’s automated, upgraded thermoelectric heating-plant design commissioned by Rosatom. Rosatom describes ELENA-AM within its small modular reactor programme; its 2024 annual report records technical-design work. The 2023 description gives a water-cooled, water-moderated system and a 7 MW thermal design with at least 200 kW electric generation. Those dated figures are not assigned as universal current module ratings. Original ELENA is a separate historical configuration; neither its rating nor its proposed Popov Island site is inherited.
