Last Energy PWR-20 licensing engagement with Romania's regulator CNCAN
In October 2024 Last Energy said CNCAN confirmed it had completed the pre-authorization phase and could enter the authorization phase for its PWR-20. The ENSREG dashboard of March 2026 lists Last Energy's Quantum (60 MWth) in preparatory review in Romania, while the European SMR Industrial Alliance suspended the Quantum project working group in November 2025 pending clarification. No site is named in these sources.
