X-energy participation in Project Prometheus
X-energy announced Tier 1 participation in the INL-led Project Prometheus research initiative, contributing Xe-100/TRISO-X design data and $10 million in private capital. The company reports a $60 million award to the wider three-year initiative, not to X-energy alone. Work targets engineering, licensing and manufacturing workflows. Its FAQ rules out present Xe-100 control-room AI integration. Neither reactor permission nor achieved deployment acceleration is established.
