West Virginia: SMR policy and licensing
Selected federal measures and selected state measures whose official text was opened. This is not a complete list of laws, rules or programmes for any jurisdiction. A state without a page here is not a finding that it has no policy, and these pages do not rate or prefer any state. Nothing here implies that a project is eligible for, or approved under, any measure.
Federal measures apply in West Virginia as everywhere in the United States and are listed once on the federal page. They are not counted here.

West Virginia Enrolled Senate Bill 4, passed on 31 January 2022, repeals Code sections 16-27A-1 and 16-27A-2. It took effect 90 days from passage, on 1 May 2022. Official code pages still use the ban article heading and display both sections as repealed. The repeal does not approve a reactor.
Not approved or pending: No replacement construction or siting statute was opened. The current code still titles the article as a ban even though both section bodies say repealed. No reactor approval is granted. No West Virginia site is tracked in this dataset.
