Nuclear Power Ghana and Regnum NuScale VOYGR-12 plant (site not disclosed)
One proposed plant. The U.S. Department of Energy reported on 29 August 2024 that Nuclear Power Ghana and Regnum Technology Group reached an agreement to deploy a single NuScale VOYGR-12 plant in Ghana. Twelve modules are the announced configuration, not twelve built reactors, and there is no construction start. The site is undisclosed. This record is not Nsuban. On 27 March 2025 the Ghana News Agency reported that no formal contract had been signed. Nuclear Power Ghana's executive director described 12 modules of 77 megawatts, totaling 924 megawatts, and said the location was still being determined. The Department of Energy article did not state 924 megawatts. It said the certified rating was 50 megawatts per module and that 77 megawatts per module was under Nuclear Regulatory Commission review. The 924 megawatt figure is Nuclear Power Ghana's March 2025 description and is kept separate from the design module rating. Regnum is the project developer, not the reactor vendor.
What this record says
