BlueCore BC-15 floating plant proposal at the Port of Long Beach
Floating unit. BlueCore proposed a full-power demonstration of its barge-mounted reactor (45 MWt, about 15 MWe gross) at the Port of Long Beach and names the port as the plant's operating location in NRC pre-application documents. DOE did not select the demonstration in the current Launch Pad round, and the port's current lease covers only non-nuclear prototype work without nuclear fuel.
