Kärnfull Next SMR park at Målma, Valdemarsvik
Kärnfull Next filed the first application under Sweden's new approval law in March 2026 for 1,200-1,600 MWe at Valdemarsvik. A September 2026 agreement with GE Vernova Hitachi and Samsung C&T covers the Valdemarsvik and Nyköping sites with an initial four-unit BWRX-300 project, which will go to one of the two sites. The capacity range is not stored as a plant total. Nyköping (prj-studsvik-nykoping) is the alternative site.
