Blue Energy BWRX-300 at Port of Victoria
GE Vernova and Blue Energy said on 16 September 2026 that the first part of an NRC construction permit application was filed for the first BWRX-300 at the Port of Victoria, Texas. The filing is not a permit, and a final investment decision is still described as a 2027 expectation. The releases describe further BWRX-300 reactors without stating how many, and they do not state a site megawatt total. The gas turbines in the same project are not counted as nuclear modules.
